Nowadays, in the machinery production sectors, the rate of scrap products caused by employee mistakes can reach levels that present a threat to the companies. Schools and companies need to develop serious training programs in order to minimize the problem due to the lack of knowledge of employees. An important percentage of the trainings that have a significant impact on scrap rates in the sector and which are felt to be lack are the ability to read Technical Drawing at an advanced level. This deficiency mainly stems from the fact that the trainings cannot be supported by practical applications. In order to meet this requirement, studies are continuing to support the Technical Drawing trainings with new and different educational technologies. In recent years, virtual and augmented reality technologies have come to the forefront in the field of education as a quite effective technique with the opportunity of visually interacting with the objects that gives to the user. In this study, the effects of transferring the technical drawing topics that used in the machine manufacturing sector to the three dimensional environment with V/AR applications on learning performance investigated. In order to measure these effects, original V/AR applications which developed for technical drawing training were used. The research study group consists of 50 students studying at the Vocational School Automotive Program. In the research, real experimental pattern method included pre testpost test control group was used. In order to evaluate the educational performance, comparative competence analyses were conducted between the experimental group which V/AR applications used and control group students which V/AR applications non used. In these analyses, academic success exam, pre-test post-test competency measurement and interview, applications were done. As a result of the assessments and evaluations; It was seen that the education by using V/AR significantly increased students' learning performance and competencies.
