Abstract:

Response Surface Methodology for Modeling Quality Characteristic: An Application Response Surface Methodology is used as a collection of statistical and mathematical techniques to optimize and improve processes. In Industrial organization, the most common applications of this technique, a few input variable characteristics of a product or process potentially affect the performance or quality measure is considered cases. During the application of the technique in question, selecting the optimal design is seen as a major problematic. In this study, the selection of response surface designs, from graphical techniques applicability of Variance Dispersion Graph and Fraction of Design Space Plots were investigated. For this purpose, it is important to Response Surface Designs by comparing these techniques to be used effectively tried to design determination. In the second phase using the design, machining operations which are two important quality characteristics, surface roughness and tool wear modeled by Response Surface Methodology, and the results were compared. So in a way, the accuracy of the findings of the graphical techniques were investigated. The results have shown as that modeling of Response Surface Methodology machining process could be used in an effective manner. In addition, graphical techniques found to be a useful technique for the evaluation of design optimality.
