Abstract:The music which is consisted of bringing the harmonious and melodioous sounds together with a sense of art in order to express the emotions, ideas and thoughts has transformed into a more complex form by moving away from the simple form it had during the era of prophet Muhammed (s.a.v). Islamic jurists generally examined music in such two different perspectives as it includes instruments or not. At this point, many points of view have been put forward by the Islamic scholars, andthey have generally pointed out that music may be legitimate in only exceptional situations that depends on whether it conforms to the legal Islamic principles. In this study, consisting of introduction, four chapters and conclusion, it is discussed that the place of the music in terms of Islamic Law.
