In this study, the effect of titanium dioxide additive on polyester yarns and fabric properties obtained from these yarns was investigated. For this purpose, firstly 0% produced by using the melt extraction method; 0.3; 0.6; 1.0; 1.4; 2.0; 2,4 titanium dioxide added polyester yarns(POY) and textured yarns (DTY) were obtained from these yarns by the false twist method. Titanium dioxide additive is the only variable added to obtain yarns. Yarn linear density, filament count, breaking elongation, tensile strength, unevenness value, oil ratio, crimp shortening, crimp durability, crimp stability and boiling shrinkage values of 7 different titanium dioxide doped POY and DTY polyester yarns with the same raw material, cross section type, number of filaments and linear density. Tested according to standards. Weaving fabrics have been obtained by keeping the warp yarn number, warp frequency, weft frequency from the yarns containing 7 different titanium dioxide additives and the comfort and mechanical properties of the obtained fabrics (tear strength, air permeability, thermal resistance and thermal conductivity values) has been measured appropriately. All measurements of yarns and fabrics were evaluated in the SPSS statistic program and as a result of this study, it was found that the effect of titanium dioxide on the strength properties of the yarns, the strength, UV resistance, air permeability, water vapor permeability and bending properties were statistically significant.
