Abstract:

In this study, physical and dimensional properties of fine and super fine fabrics which are produced in different circular knitting machine gauges, are examined. Three experimental works are presented in order to determine the effects of knitting machine gauge, tightness adjustment, yarn number, using elastane yarn, yarn twist and relaxation conditions. In the first chapter, a summary of the literature survey is given. In the second chapter, circular knitting machines and yarn properties, relaxation conditions, test devices and test methods, which are used in this study, are explained. In the third chapter, experimental results are presented. In the fourth chapter with, the aim of experimental results physical and dimensional performances properties of single jersey fabrics are discussed.
