Abstract:

In this study, hot plate welding, which is the most widely used welding process in industrial series production, has been discussed and hot plate welding applied to plastic parts made of lupolen 4261AG material has been investigated. Hot plate welding is the process of fusing two plastic pieces using the heated tool plate. In the process, a welding fluff or bead on each component is contacted with the hot plate and heat causes the welding shell to melt. Then the pieces are pressed together. In this study, it was tried to determine the optimum temperature for the highest strength among the welded parts, the most suitable welding melting force and the most suitable material behavior were determined by breaking tests, damage analyzes and microtome tests. According to the results of this test, the welding parameters were determined physically, improvements were made, unnecessary energy costs were prevented and welding times were optimized.
