Current stabilities, problems and solution proposals of the cold air stories activities in Bursa and Yalova provinces

Abstract:

Bursa and Yalova, are important provinces in terms of the storage of their garden plants products and there have been significant developments recently in the area of cold weather in this region. Nowadays, with the help of science and technology of storage activities to the temperature and relative humidity composition of the cooling environment is controlled by using the machines in the modern facilities where the products can be kept for a long time about the deterioration and decay of the products that are minimized. The activities have carried out in the Bursa and Yalova provinces were investigated with the acceleration in parallel with the development process of the cold air storehouse both in the world and in Turkey and the problems encountered with the capacities, storage and processing technologies, stored fruit and vegetable types of the cold storage located on both sides were tried to be detected. Bursa and Yalova storages were selected on cold storage facilities with a minimum capacity of 2000 tons / year and the usable capacity of at least 3000 tons / year. Cold storages have been classified according to the storage types and technologies (Normal Atmosphere, Controlled Atmosphere, Dynamic Controlled Atmosphere, Modified Atmosphere, Freshcut and Frozen); A total of 37 cold storages were examined, 8 in Yalova and 29 in Bursa. The survey was carried out a questionnaire consisting of five sections and 39 main questions and 134 sub-questions. As a result of this work, the current situation is detected that cold storages activities in Bursa and Yalova when institutions and persons are taken into consideration, if the public and private stakeholders with all components work together, the problems can be solved.
