Galium L. is a cosmopolitan genus and distributed in temparate regions of the world. The genus is also taxonomically complex because taxa from different sections exhibit similar habit, hybridization of various species complexes, and many species are polymorphic. Therefore, only morphological characters are not enough in order to clarify systematics of the genus. Morphological, anatomical, palynological, cytological and molecular characters should be evaluated together. In this study, it was aimed to carry out morphological and anatomical studies on the 25 Galium taxa that are growing in Bursa province. Morphological characters of root, stem, leaf, flower and fruit (mericarp) of these taxa were determined and their herbarium specimens were examined and measured. A diagnosis key for 25 Galium taxa distributed in Bursa province was established by using both our measurements and account of Flora of Turkey, detailed descriptions were made for each taxon. In addition, photos taken in habit or herbarium specimens of each taxon were presented. In the anatomical section, stem and leaf cross sections taken with by hand or microtome were stained and were examined by light microscope. Suitable stem and leaf cross sections were photographed with a digital camera. By examining these photographs, the anatomical features of the stem and leaf were described in detail for each taxon.
