Abstract:

TOPIC: This paper aims to analyze Russian Federation's domestic and foreign policies from collapse of Soviet Union to 2008 in Carl Schmitt's political philosophy context. THESIS: More precisely, Carl Schmitt's a friend-foe concepts has a great influence on Russian Federation's policies. Author offers to show that influence by analyzing of different cases. STRUCTURE: This paper can be divided into three sections. In the first section, we find a brief overview and analyze of Schmitt's political philosophy. In the second section, we find an assumption: Schmitt has a great influence on Russian politics and we find an analyze of this influence in detailed. Finally, in third section, we find an another asumption Georgia case can be defined as a turning point at Russian Foreign Policy, and we find all process in detailed. Ergo, this paper aims to show Schmitt influence on Russian domestic and foreign policy. Authors' another assumption is that if we understand this influence in detailed, we can also make a predictions about Russia's political actions succesfully.
