In this study, the subject of religion was considered within the framework of Marx and Engels' ideas. This debate, which belonged to the early period of the poster revolution of the structure of the modern state and society, began in the 19th century's severe social, economic and political conditions. At that time, widespread thought, modern life, and new conditions are beyond the religion and functionless. Two thinkers and the man of action Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels had approved this opinion. These two thinkers, seeking a new way of life and thought at the same time, offer us new clues about the position of religion in modern society, even though they are mostly criticized by capitalism. From the theological foundation to regional organization, capitalism has shown its relation to religion. In the first part, the political and social conditions of the period were discussed. In the second part, Marxist thought, and in the third part Marxist criticism of religion and Marxism as a religion in life are discussed.
