Abstract:Drainage is required to increase production on the important part of agricultural lands on the common earth. In the period of growing plants, the rises occurring in the ground water of soil may cause fatal damages for agricultural production. It will be economically useful to make long?termed estimation and calculations for planning efficient water management systems. In order to make estimates for future, the usage of computer simulation models are primary in view of accuracy and also practicality. DRAINMOD simulation model is also a computer simulation program which is used for defining the performance of drainage and water management systems, planning alternative water management and drainage systems, estimating the variation of yield fertility due to type of plant and time, estimating the variation of water table and examining the salinity rates of soil and drainage water and the nitrogen percentage of soil. This study was made on the exsiccation area of lake Marmaracık on Bursa Yenisehir plain, where the subsurface tube system hasn?t been established and there are drainage problems, by using DRAINMOD model to determine the optimum drainage parameters. According to the study in the condition that the relative (yield fertility) productivity is kept % 90 and higher the optimum drainage depth has been estimated as 1 m. and drain interval as 50 m. without irrigation conditions and 1,25 m and 30 m. in irrigation conditions
