N mineralization was investigated by standard incubation method in the soils ofmachine graded ski runs and undisturbed adjacent Abies bornmüelleriana forestcommunity from two different depths (0-5 and 5-15 cm). Soil incubation was carriedout at the laboratory conditions (%60 MSK and 20 0C). Sample sites were comparedaccording to some soil characteristics [total nitrogen (% and kg/ha), organic carbon (%and kg/ha), organic matter (% and kg/ha), C/N rates, pH and Water Holding Capacity(WHC%)] and nitrogen mineralization ratios. The difference found significant amongthe all parameters with one way variance analysis (one way ANOVA) (P<0.05). It wasfound that some important nutrient losses are occurred on the drastically disturbed skirun. The correlation between the values of the net nitrogen productivity for 63 days andsoil characteristics according to 0-5 cm depth of soil has been found significant(P<0.05). Our studies show that nitrogen mineralization was affected negatively due tothe antropojenic factors which cause land disturbance; however, species, growing thesedisturbed lands, may supply a balanced restoration and an increased mineralization as anatural process after the land disturbance.
