Abstract:The main purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between university students' levels ofhope and perceived emotional abuse, childhood happiness and personality traİts. Another aim of the study is to examine whether there is a difference in levels ofhope according to gender, age, socioeconomic level and faculty variables. The students of Uludağ University, Gazi University, Hasan Kalyoncu Universityand other universities attended the research. In the study conducted İn the form of a relationa! survey model, "Private Living Areas Hope Level Scale", "Perceived Emotiorıal Abuse Scale for Adults", "Adjective Based Personality Test", "Childhood Happiness and Tranquility Memories Scale" and "Personal Information Form" is used. The data obtained in the study were analyzed in SPSS (22.0) program. Pearson Product Moment Correlation, Multiple Regression Analysis and T-test were used for the purpose ofthis study. As a result of the study, it was found that there was a significant and positive relationship between levels ofhope, childhood happiness peace memories, extraversion, openness to experience, docility, responsibility and perceived emotional abuse. According to this, low socioeconomic status levels of individuals were lower; low socioeconomic status levels of individual is directly associated with low level of hope; it was understood that the students of the Faculty of Edueation were more hopeful than the students studying in the Faculties of Scienee, Literature, Lawand Medicine. it was understood that the students of the Faeulty of Edueation were more hopefuI than the students of the Faeulties of Science, Literature, Lawand Medicine. Another finding obtained in the study is the memories of ehildhood happiness, emotional imbalance, extraversion, openness to experience, responsibility and pereeived emotional abuse as a whole; lt is seen that individuals explain 37% oftheir level ofhope.
