With the development of technology, increasing demands such as comfort and performance demands, especially safety requirements, increased the weight of the vehicles. In this study, the reasons for the increase in vehicle weight over time were examined. Problems caused by increased vehicle weight and weight reduction studies were examined. Aluminum has been studied as the most used light metal in weight reduction. The benefits provided by the use of aluminum in vehicles are mentioned. In addition to the use of aluminum in weight reduction, it has been researched to obtain beter results with computer-aided optimization techniques. In the design of the wishbone, an effort was made to use aluminum alloy instead of steel material.
