Recently, computer softwares have been used intensively in order to solve engineering problems. The present study aims to create a software to make the design of spot welding easier. This project, which records the information related to spot welding, manages to chose the most appropriate spot welding by taking the size, cost and etc into consideration. Therefore, it is crucial to identify as much parts as possible with all their features, and to form a list by investigating some necessary points. In the present time, in which computer technologies seem to have an influence on every phase of our lives, these points can be investigated more comprehensively and easily through a computer based database. As a clear and simple explanation, database is an integrated collection of records or files consolidated into a common pool that provides data for many applications. This study aims to create a computer software in which information related to spot welding can be hidden, shown or investigated and in necessary cases new information can be entered. The present study includes the steps for developing database user interface and entering the information related to spot welding in the database. The most important features of this software are those; it shows the drawings which are prepared by another programs with its own drawing editor and allows to do necessary operations and it also manages to chose the most appropriate spot welding.
