In this study, mechanical systems of passenger doors of commercial vehicles are examined. Road tests, bench tests, CAE Analyses and torque-current measurements were performed for the Electric Outward Double Wing Passenger Door. The results obtained from the tests were modelled in CAD programs and CAE analyses were performed and compared with the test results. Material of Gear controls and electric motor torque-current measurements have been tested according to the measured torque values during the passenger door operation. By analysing the data obtained as a result of the tests, the rigidity increase was observed in the passenger door operation by decreasing the deflection amounts in the passenger door mounting bracket and improvements were made in the mechanical system
