Pollen quantities and diversity in the study carried out by the gravimetric method using the Durham instrument were investigated in the Karacabey (Bursa) district atmosphere for a period of one year between 1 January - 31 December 2015. During one year, the slides were changed once a week and 57 taxa were detected after examination by light microscopy. Of these, 32 of them are belong to woody plants, and 25 of them are from herbaceous plants. The highest amount of pollen was seen in May.In the research process 15 281 pollen was detected in cm2 area; 77% of these belong to woody plants, 22,30% belong to herbaceous plants and 0,71% belong to unidentified pollen. The plant taxa that pollen grains found dominant in the atmosphere were determined as Cupressaceae / Taxaceae, Pinus, Poaceae, Quercus, Platanus, Olea, Ambrosia, Plantago, Salix and Amaranthaceae. In this study, Ambrosia pollen recorded as dominant in the atmosphere fort the first time in Turkey.
